When the heartbreaking news broke in 2021 about the remains of 215 children at the Kamloops Indian Residential School, I wanted to honor all the little ones who did not return home from attending residential and day schools with a pair of baby moccasins along with tipi and Métis infinity symbols to represent the lost First Nation and Métis children. I personally reached out to Phyllis Webstad, the founder of the Orange Shirt Society, for her approval and support. She gave the TRT design her blessing and with every ECM purchase, 50% of the revenue will be donated to the Orange Shirt Legacy Fund. Buy your ECM items today to honor the lost children and be an ally for Indigenous peoples.
